Our daughter suffers from an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with a high tendency to disappear. Since you can't put anything around her or attach anything else to her clothes, we opted for this variant. So that in the event that she runs away, we can hopefully find out where she went, as she is completely disoriented and needs help. She usually wears her shoes all day long, so it is ideal that you can put an airtag in the sole of her shoe. So far, it doesn't bother them either. However, it is best to use stretchy shoes because the sole is of course higher than the original. Children with high foot spurs will probably otherwise get pressure pain or won't even get into their shoes.
